Michael’s Custom Guitars
Hand-built electric guitars from my MC Guitars shop — designed, cut, carved, wired, and finished by hand, built to your specs.
Built the Slow Way, On Purpose
I build guitars the slow way — no assembly line, no shortcuts. Every MC Guitars build starts as rough lumber in my shop and comes out as an instrument with a voice of its own. Custom bodies, necks, finishes, and hardware, all spec’d with the player and built to be played hard for a lifetime.

“Jewel” — Kaylah Signature Series
My take on the Ibanez GEM — a hot-rodded super-strat built for Kaylah. Solid mahogany body, screaming DiMarzio Evos, and a Floyd Rose that stays in tune no matter how hard you punish it.
- Solid mahogany body — 2 piece
- Maple neck with medium frets
- Locking nut
- Gotoh Floyd Rose tremolo with brass block, black chrome
- Gotoh locking tuners — black
- Hot pink anodized aluminum knobs
- DiMarzio Evo neck humbucker
- DiMarzio Evo single coil (middle)
- DiMarzio Evo bridge humbucker
- CTS 5-way switch
- CTS 500k pots
- TrueTone jack — black

Squier Stratocaster Makeover
A full makeover for a Fender Squier Stratocaster — because a working player’s guitar deserves to play and look its best. New finish, setup, and detailing from top to bottom.

Custom Tele Body with Maple Cap Top
A Tele-style body capped with figured maple — classic twang with a dressed-up top. Cut and sanded by hand, ready to bolt onto your favorite neck and finish your way.

Custom Carved Strat Body
A hand-carved Strat-style body with deep, comfortable contours. Shaped with rasps and spokeshaves, sanded smooth, and ready for your finish and hardware.
How a Build Comes Together
1. We talk
Tell me what you play and what you’re after. We spec the wood, hardware, and finish together.
2. Wood & parts
I pick the lumber and bring in quality parts — Gotoh, DiMarzio, and the like. No mystery wood, no cheap hardware.
3. The build
I cut, carve, fret, and wire everything by hand in my shop. You’ll see it come together along the way.
4. Finish & setup
Finished, set up, and played in before it ever reaches your hands. It leaves my shop ready to gig.
