Anybody can stack rocks. Building stonework that stays stacked — through freeze, thaw, and twenty years of rain — that’s a different thing.

I’ve built retaining walls, walkways, patios, and water features out of natural stone. The secret isn’t complicated: a proper base, the right stone for the job, and the patience to fit each piece like it matters. Because it does. A wall that shifts in two years is a wall that was rushed.

Water features are my favorite. There’s something about the sound of moving water in a yard — it changes the whole feel of the place. But a pond or waterfall that’s done wrong becomes a maintenance nightmare. Done right, it’s the thing people remember about your property.

I build outdoor spaces the same way I build everything else: to last. No shortcuts in the base, no skimping on materials, no “good enough.”

If you’ve got a slope that’s eroding, a yard with no soul, or just an idea you’ve been sitting on — bring it to me. Even a rough sketch on a napkin works. I’ll tell you straight what it’ll take.
